Jerome Kills Small (Oglala Lakota) is a traditional storyteller, oral historian and singer/songwriter. He offers a variety of workshops and programs for all ages and is part of the speakers bureau with Wisdom of the Elders and Humanities Nebraska. Jerome and his wife, Nancy, grow and harvest foods and medicines with a variety of winged and four-leggeds at their South Dakota home.

Rachel Leister (Scottish/English/Irish) is an ethnobotanist, bioregional herbalist, educator, naturalist, writer and photographer. She specializes in prairie plants and is owner/operator of Red Road Herbs Retreat & Learning Center in northeast Nebraska where she’s been teaching about traditional uses of herbs as food and medicine for over 30 years. A part of United Plants Saver’s Botanical Sanctuary Network, a Certified Wildlife Habitat, a Monarch Waystation and a haven of peace and tranquility where she encourages visitors to experience Nature’s healing touch.
